Here is a response to the request you received for Sanskrit translations of the following:

Sanskrit is a wonderful language.  The words are constructed from the Dev Naagari script, which can be translated as ‘language of the gods’.  The sound vibrations of Dev Naagari are scientifically engineered to resonate from the Source to manifest sound.  In the beginning was the meaning. From the meaning, sound vibrations evolved into words to capture its essence through the vehicle of the intelligence.  Meaning is first, words follow.  Singing Sanskrit ‘shlokas’ or verses is a very transcendental experience.  The sounds have the power to lead, purify and expand the mind into the infinite container in which it appears, to take individual perception to the perceiving Consciousness that is boundless and Whole.

An inquiry into the Sanskrit words that translate the words below was requested by Ellen Mason and yielded these results.  Thank you, Ellen for initiating this investigation into the subtle distinctions of words which lead the investigator to contemplate a very rich and rewarding subject.

Being –
* SATTAA:  The source of this word is ‘SAT’, which means Truth, Existence, or the combination of the two, ‘Truthful Existence’.  The word ‘Sattaa’ is used as ‘being’ or ‘existence’ in the large sense of the word.  It is the reality of being that can never not be, the IS that always is.
* JEEVAN:  This word refers to the being that is life, the life in each of us.  Even though life is indivisible, just as the water can never be divided, in the same way, it can appear in individual containers.  The life essence that manifests as the apparent individual form or being is ‘Jeevan’

Inner Being –
* SWA:  This means one’s self, the same pronunciation and similar meaning to the French ‘soi’.  This ‘Swa’ is the Self with the capital S, the Self that each of us can identify as the unchanging presence of ME. Witnessing all the changes, it itself remains unchanging, just as the sky space knows all the storms, clouds, and infinite variety of forms in its boundless dimension, but never changes with the appearance or disappearance of any of them.

Heart Center –
* HIRDAYA:  This is the heart, the location of loving-ness.

Inner Light –
* JYOTIS:  This is light, radiance, or the light of the eye of intelligence

True Essence Self –

* AATMAN: The essential Self, all-permeating, the truth of every being.
